"A Multi-Generational God!" Barbara Velez

God is a multi generational God. The Bible refers multiple times about the about the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob when referring to promises and Destiny.

Our God releases promises and seeds for destiny in a multigenerational way. When He sees us He sees the generations before us and he sees the generations that will come from our loins and our children’s loins. Wow! This is powerful and empowering. There are plenty of examples in the Bible, let’s see!

God Speaks with Isaac and refers to his father Abraham and the promises He made ratifying his covenant now in Isaac (The next generation).

The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, Genesis 26: 2-4

When God called Moses He refers to a covenant that extends 3 generations. Those before the children of Israel are referred as “your Fathers” and God tell Moses that His NAME must be remembered for all generations.

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘TheLord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is tmy name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. Exodus 3:15

When God speak about our future He sees time as an extension of the generations before us but He also extends in time to redeem those things that were need to be manifested in your generation. God sees all the things that He had intended for each and every one in generations past and as we move forward in obedience He can redeem them in you or in the next generation.

This is your time and in an instant He can redeem and bring forward seeds that were sown and gone dormant in generations past and make them blossom in you. When walking towards your destiny you must seek to position yourself for the next generation as well. It is called advancement! Because whatever you don't get to accomplish in your time will not fall to the ground if you have prepared the next generation to carry on the mantle when you are gone.

I encourage you to see beyond yourself and start building for your children’s and your children’s children future. It is time to advance and go beyond the limitations of the past. Be encouraged and press on!
