Finding Purpose What Does It Take...

From the time we are born we are in need of perseverance. Think about the natural process of development and growth

That is necessary for everything we do. For example look at the birth of a child.

It takes 9 months in a mother’s womb to develop a full term baby. After that the baby learns to roll over, crawl and walk.

It took perseverance to be able to walk. It did not take place with the first attempt. It took getting up on one’s little feet only to fall down again and this process was repeated until we learned to walk on our own. Falling Down did not stop us. We did not give up we possessed the ability to accomplish what was needed to walk.

As we grow into adulthood we will use this skill of perseverance over and over again. We needed it to complete our education and become a lifetime learner.

In our careers, we don’t get promoted to the president of the company overnight. It takes hard work and perseverance.

There are obstacles, challenges, minor detours even some major life changes that come our way. If we adopt an attitude of never giving up even when we fail we will keep going.

Sometimes failure can be our best teacher knowing that failure leads to success and success is accomplished through perseverance and dedication to the goal that is set before us.

Make a decision to not let the attitude of our parents or our peers to condition us to give up. Sometimes we think this is normal. If that is you adopt a new attitude. You have the perseverance that is necessary for success. Surround yourself with positive people.

Here are some quotes to encourage you to keep on keeping on.

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” Confucius

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Nelson Mandela

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

Thomas A. Edison

“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Paul

Finding Purpose

Everyone wants to feel Significant and have a purpose in this life. People try many ways to accomplish this: partying, success, possessions, and trying to be perfect.

After putting all of our confidence in human efforts we still come of short. The Apostle Paul learned this after trying to be the perfect Jew, his self-achieved righteousness didn’t satisfy. After an encounter with Jesus, his purpose changed. He said: For my determined purpose is having a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus. He wanted to clearly understand him, know the power of His resurrection, share in His suffering and be transformed in His image. ( Philippians 3:10 Amplified)

Father show me if I have put my confidence in my own self-effort for significance. I want my purpose in life to come from my relationship with you. I want to know you more.

It all takes Perseverance!
